Dear Mr
Riordan,

On February 28, Parliament registered your request for access to:

- Trialogue tables for inter institutional negotiations regarding
Directive 2006/123/EC

- All draft agendas for trilogue talks on the above-mentioned directive.

As a preliminary remark, Parliament draws your attention to the fact that
the scope of [1]Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, as defined in its Article
2(3), extends only to existing documents held by an institution, whereas
it does not cover the broader concept of information. Information may be
distinguished from a document, in particular, as far as it is defined as a
data element that may appear in one or multiple documents.

Please also note that public access to documents is generally granted by
way of Parliament's [2]Public Register of Documents, where documents are
made available to the general public as machine-readable pdfs. The
documents attached to this email are the same that will be available on
the Public Register of Documents.

Regarding your application, Parliament has identified the attached
documents.

You can also consult the requested Directive here:

On this basis Parliament considers your request handled and the file
closed. Please do not hesitate to submit a new request should you identify
specific Parliament documents to which you would like to request public
access to.

Kind regards,
