access to documents request - The exact total payment due from the UK on leaving the EU
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Could you please let me know exactly how much the UK has been asked to pay the EU to clear all their obligations on leaving the EU.
I am a citizen of the UK and currently the EU and as far as I am aware this exact figure has not been published by the EU. Please supply any documentation relating to the amount payable and any calculations of this figure.

As requested I did supply my address some time ago and yet still have not received a response to my query.
Quite why this is necessary when you have my email address is beyond me but now you have everything requested of me I would appreciate your answer to my query. It is important to all UK citizens and those in the other members of the EU that trade with the UK that a suitable arrangement for future relations is agreed. It seems to be the case that the main impediment to the commencement of trade negotiations is the amount of money paid by the UK to the EU to settle all obligations upon leaving.
Could please supply details of the total amount owed and the calculations supporting this figure? I cannot see how it is possible to reach an agreement on this issue unless the amount required is known.
