Are you able to reply within the next 48 hours or should I prepare my confirmatory application?

All the best,

Dear Madam, Sir,

Thanks for registering my confirmatory application for access to documents on 21/09/2020 (Ares(2020)4935774).

I would like to inform you that is not necessary to notify the answer by express delivery. The past weeks the Commission has been unable to send printed versions of their access to documents letters because of the Covid19 situation, and I have not missed the physical version of the letters for a second. This experience has shown that no harm is done when confirmatory application letters are sent by e-mail only.

Since I already receive your communication by e-mail, there is no need to send a printed letter. This would also be in line with the European Commission's environmental goals.

All the best,
Peter
