We refer to your request addressed to the Commission to access documents, dated 20
April 2022, registered on 21 April 2022 under the following reference number:
GESTDEM 2022/2407.
Your request concerns:
“1- all correspondence (including email, SMS, private twitter and WhatsApp) since 1st
February 2022 between officials from the Secretariat General, particularly the Recovery
and Resilience Task Force with representatives from the oil and gas industry, namely the
following associations: Eurogas, GIE, Gas4Climate, IOGP, Marcogaz, FuelsEurope and
GasNaturally in which the EU’s response to Ukraine invasion, particularly the
RePowerEU communication was discussed.
2- any briefings prepared for the Secretariat General, particularly the Recovery and
Resilience Task Force with representatives from the oil and gas industry, namely the
following associations: Eurogas, GIE, Gas4Climate, IOGP, Marcogaz, FuelsEurope and
GasNaturally in which the EU’s response to Ukraine invasion, particularly the
RePowerEU communication was discussed.
3 - list of meetings since since since 1st February 2022 between officials from the
Secretariat General, particularly the Recovery and Resilience Task Force with
representatives from the oil and gas industry, namely the following associations:

The Secretariat General of the European Commission does not hold any documents that
would correspond to the description given in your application. Please note that no
documents were released in the Commission’s reply to request for access to documents
2021/8003, to which you refer in your letter.
As specified in Article 2(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, the right of access as
defined in that regulation applies only to existing documents in the possession of the
institution.
Given that no such documents, corresponding to the description given in your
application, are held by the Secretariat General of the European Commission, the
Commission is not in a position to fulfil your request.
In accordance with Article 7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001, you are entitled to make
a confirmatory application requesting the Commission to review this position.
Such a confirmatory application should be addressed within 15 working days of receipt of
