- Documents which describe the decision-making process by which Eurostat decided to
include or not include some indicators, judging some to be "relevant" and others to be of
"little or no relevance" for European countries.
-What reasons or criteria make an UN indicator relevant for the EU, as well as what
reasons or criteria make an UN indicator of little or no relevance for the EU.
-Which public bodies and officials were responsible for deciding upon the final list of
SDGs indicators selected and excluded by Eurostat.”

I would like to start by highlighting Article 75 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable
(Resolution adopted by the General Assembly on 25 September 2015)
which explicitly calls for indicator sets at regional
and national level to complement
the global monitoring
“The Goals and targets will be followed up and reviewed using a set of global indicators.
These will be complemented by indicators at the regional and national levels which will
be developed by Member States, in addition to the outcomes of work undertaken for the
development of the baselines for those targets where national and global baseline data
does not yet exist.”
