Dear Mr Mes,

I would like to follow up the meeting you had with the automotive industry
value chain on 2 June 2020 discussing the technological transition of the
industry in line with the EU climate goals, including ZF Group, BMW, Total,
Mahle International, Daimler, Bosch.

The legislative agenda has developed since then, as has the industry, and the
situation itself due to the corona pandemic and the recovery in response.

Following the constructive discussion, we would very much appreciate a
discussion on the recent updates and policy thinking. I propose on behalf of the
informal value chain coalition to organise a virtual roundtable. For an
oduction/site managers from the factory
floor to discuss the practical terms of the transformation to cut back the
emissions. To keep the event dynamic we are happy to work with an external
moderator -
, former MEP who has worked on transport emissions as
a coordinator of the ENVI Committee.

We would envisage the 75-minute roundtable for the end of February/
beginning of March, but I would like to accommodate to your schedule which is
surely busy. I propose 24 February 10:00 or the fol owing week.

Please let me know if you would accept this invitation and thank you in advance
for your consideration. I am happy to answer any follow up questions.

Kind regards,
