Air pollution and marginal costs and mortality
Dear European Environment Agency,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
Most up-to-date data about marginal costs and marginal mortality per tonne valid for Slovakia and following air pollutants:
- SO2
- NO2
- PM 2.5
- PM 10
Thank you very much,
Yours faithfully,
Marian Janos
Dear Marian Janos,
Thank you for contacting The European Environment Agency.
The latest information held by EEA on external costs of air pollution
(expressed as marginal costs) are published in the 2014 EEA report ‘Costs
of air pollution from European industrial facilities 2008-2012’
([1]https://www.eea.europa.eu/publications/c...)
and for transport in the 2013 report ‘Road user charges for heavy goods
vehicles (HGV)’
([2]https://www.eea.europa.eu/publications/r...).
Country specific estimates are given for selected pollutants. We do not
hold specific information on marginal mortality values per tonne. EEA also
presently has no plans to update these estimates on the basis of new
information that may have become available since the completion of these
earlier studies.
Kind regards,
EEA Enquiry Service
