Commission document on EU future relations with China and Japan, 2005

Servicio europeo de acción exterior no tenía la información solicitada.

Dear European External Action Service,

I am attempting to gain access to a document which I know exists, but only have limited information on and do not know its title. I think it was produced by the Commission sometime in 2005, certainly by April.

The document pertained to the EU's future relations with China and Japan and was cited by Alexander Lambsdorff in the European Parliament on 25th April, 2005 (reference to oral question: H-0330/05).

Although the production of the document obviously predates the existence of the EEAS, I concluded that there was a reasonable chance that such documents would be in EEAS' possession. If this is indeed correct, then under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I would like to request access to this document.

Should the document not be obtainable through EEAS, would you be able to direct me to the EU body I would have to contact?

Thank you in advance for your assistance with this matter. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Scott Brown
