Cher Secrétariat général de la Commission européenne,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Congratulations letter of Mr Juncker to Mr Orban for his re-election.'.
I am very surprised to have my request refused.

As you know Mr Orban is a public figure (politician running regularly for elections) so by definition his life is exposed to the public. So I do not understand what could be the 'restricted information' that could be disclosed in a congratulations letter sent by the SG to the Mr Orban : his full name ? his office address ? This is information that, is by definition, public.
A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/fr/request/cong...

Je vous prie de croire, Monsieur/Madame, à l'assurance de mes salutations distinguées,

Eric Dumont
