Subject:       Your application for access to documents – Ref GestDem No
2019/1634

Dear Mr. Merino,

We refer to your e-mail dated 18/03/2019 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 19/03/2019 under the above mentioned
reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 09/04/2019.

An extended time limit is needed as your application:

·       concerns documents held by different Services, which must be
consulted, and

·       large files have to be examined in order to retrieve the documents
requested.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 30/04/2019.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours sincerely,

Dear Mr. Merino,

In our previous communication we have extended the deadline 15 working
days from 9/4/2019, taking into account the Easter period the new time
limit should be on 3/5/2019 instead of 30/4/2019 as wrongly mentioned in
our email below.

We are finalizing the reply with the cabinet of the Commissioner in order
to provide you the requested information.

We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours sincerely,

Gabriella Fesus
