Correspondence with the Spanish government on use of pesticides

La solicitud fue parcialmente exitosa.

Dear Health and Food Safety,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

— Documentation of meetings (minutes, drafts, memoranda, invitations, cancellations, etc.) involving any person or institution representing the Spanish Government, in particular the Ministry of Agriculture, but not excluding Autonomous Communities and municipalities, and which is linked to the use of pesticides since January 2018.

— Correspondence (guidance documents, reports, official letters, emails, attachments, etc.) exchanged with any person or institution representing the Spanish Government, in particular the Ministry of Agriculture, but not excluding Autonomous Communities and municipalities, and which is linked to the use of pesticides since January 2018.

I would like to clarify that I refer to any meeting in which representatives of the Spanish Government participated, either exclusively or with more people. On the level of government representation, you can limit the search to representatives of the national government only (including, therefore, ministries).

This request is linked to request 8611 (https://www.asktheeu.org/en/alaveteli_pr...), where you already identified around 50 documents falling under the mentioned scope.

Yours faithfully,

Álvaro Merino.

Dear Mr Merino,

We refer to your request dated 8 January 2021 in which you make a request
for access to documents, registered on 11 January 2021 under the above
mentioned reference number.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires today on 1 February 2021.

An extended time limit is needed as the documents requested originate from
third parties which have been consulted.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 22 February
2020.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.

Yours faithfully,
