Correspondencia con el INE español
Estimado Eurostat,
Al amparo del derecho de acceso a documentos contemplado en los tratados de la UE, y desarrollado en el Reglamento 1049/2001, solicito los documentos que contienen la siguiente información:
- Toda la correspondencia (incluyendo informes, cartas oficiales, emails, documentos adjuntos, actas y memorandos de reuniones, además de cualquier otro tipo de documento público no mencionado en la enumeración anterior) enviada o recibida por Eurostat con el Instituto Nacional de Estadística de España (INE) desde el 1 de marzo de 2020 hasta la actualidad sobre las estadísticas relacionadas con el covid-19, especialmente en relación a la estadística de muertes semanales.

Le agradecemos su correo electrónico de 29/05/2020. Acusamos recibo de su
solicitud de acceso a documentos, registrada el 29/05/2020 con el número
de referencia GESTDEM 2020/3297.
De conformidad con el Reglamento (CE) n.º 1049/2001 relativo al acceso del
público a los documentos del Parlamento Europeo, del Consejo y de la
Comisión, su solicitud se tramitará en el plazo de 15 días hábiles. Este
plazo expirará el 22/06/2020. Si fuera necesario prorrogar este plazo, le
informaremos oportunamente de ello.

Entendemos que el tercero que gestiona el sitio web AsktheEU.org suele
publicar el contenido de la correspondencia de los solicitantes con la
Comisión en ese mismo sitio web.
La publicación incluye los datos personales que usted pueda haber
comunicado a la Comisión (como, por ejemplo, su dirección postal privada).
Del mismo modo, el tercero publica en ese sitio web cualquier respuesta
que la Comisión envíe a la dirección de correo electrónico de los
solicitantes generada por el sitio web AsktheEU.org.
Si usted no desea que su correspondencia con la Comisión se publique en un
sitio web tercero, como AsktheEU.org, puede proporcionarnos una dirección

We refer to your request dated and registered on 29 May 2020 under the
above mentioned reference number and in which you make a request for
access to all correspondence between Eurostat and INE as of 1 March, 2020
to the present on statistics related to covid-19, especially in relation
to the weekly death statistics.
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 22 June 2020. An extended time
limit is needed as the application concerns documents held by different
Services, which must be consulted.
We must, therefore, extend the time limit by 15 working days in accordance
with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access
to documents.
This new time limit expires on 13 July 2020.

which you submit a confirmatory application in accordance with Article
7(2) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European
Parliament, Council and Commission documents[6]^[1] ("Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001").
Your confirmatory application is currently being handled. Unfortunately,
we have not yet been able to gather all the elements needed to carry out a
full analysis of your request and to take a final decision. Therefore, we
were not in a position to reply to your confirmatory request within the
