Costs of Translation to the Irish Language

Dear Translation Centre for the Bodies of the European Union,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

The cost that has incurred for the translation of EU documents to and from the language of Irish, dating from the inclusion of Irish as an offical language of the European Union in June 2005, up to the present date of this request.

The salaries paid to translators of the Irish language in the Translation Centre.

How many Irish translators are currently active, or have been active previously in the Translation Centre.

- The translation of documents includes those mentioned under "REGULATION No 1 determining the languages to be used by the European Economic Community" (1958):

1. Documents which a Member State or a person subject to the jurisdiction of a Member State sends to institutions of the Community.
The reply which is drafted in the same language.

2. Documents which an institution of the Community sends to a Member State or to a person subject to the jurisdiction of a Member State.

3. Regulations and other documents of general application

4. The Official Journal of the European Union.

5. Proceedings of the Court of Justice

and also including
6. Legislation, draft legislation and treaties.

translation services for a large number of agencies and offices of the
European Union.
Unfortunately we have no document that would fit your description. We can
