Consejo Europeo

Dear Madam,

The General Secretariat of the Council of the European Union, which assists the European Council and the Council of the EU, acknowledges receipt of your e-mail about WiFi4EU initiative.

According Regulation 1049/2001, the Council of the EU holds a public register of its documents.

http://www.consilium.europa.eu/register/...

With the co-decision reference 2016/0287(cod),you can find all the documents related to it

http://www.consilium.europa.eu/register/...

Please note that the launching date is not yet known as it dépends of the adoption date which might happend in October and then it dépends of the procédures set by the European Commission

The European Commission will put in place a portal with all the information on requirements and procedure (most probably in the line of what already is in the document number 9816/17 that should be made public very soon)
http://www.consilium.europa.eu/register/...

It is quite likely that municipalities could apply from another location if the documents / information are correct.
