Digestate and compost as fertilisers. Risk assessment and risk management option - AMEC report

Estamos a la espera de que Christopher Thornton lea una respuesta reciente y de que actualice el estado.

15th October 2019
Dear Environment,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, we (European Sustainable Phosphorus Platform ) are requesting the following document:
"Digestate and compost as fertilisers. Risk assessment and risk management option” (AMEC, not dated)

It is specified in the public European Commission tender “Contaminants in fertilisers: Assessment of the Risks from their Presence and of the Socio-economic Impacts of a Possible Restriction under Reach” that this document will be transmitted to the contractor selected.

We already requested this document by letter of 19th July (to European Commission, DG Environment), and sent an email reminder 27th September. We received an informal email reply on 27th September stating "We have not yet decided if and when we are going to publish the study report. I will consult internally and come back to you in the next couple of weeks."

We believe that it would be appropriate that concerned stakeholders (industry, researchers, NGOs, authorities …) and relevant experst should be able to consult this report, debate its content and conclusions, and possibly make relevant comments or input, before it is used to input to a further Commission-contracted study (tender cited above) and before it is submitted to Member States, comitology or used for decision preparation or decision making.
