Dear Mr Haar,

We have read with interest the report entitled "UnFairbnb" and published
on the webpage of the Corporate Europe Observatory. We have also read the
more recent article on the same webpage entitled "Commission protects
AirBnB lobby paper as ‘commercial secret’".

We believe the above mentioned publications include several inaccuracies.
We would welcome an opportunity to meet with you to discuss our policy on
the collaborative economy and our balanced approach in meeting all
relevant stakeholders, including as regards the short-term accommodation
rental sector (municipal and regional authorities, the hotel industry,
platforms, consumer associations, trade unions, representatives of
citizens renting properties). We would also be happy during such a meeting
to answer questions you may have.

Please let me know if you would be available for a meeting in the near
future.

Kind regards,

Henning Ehrenstein

Dear Mr Ehrenstein,

Thank you for your email and for your interest in our work. I would be happy to talk some time soon. Some questions I have put to DG GROW when doing research for the report were never fully answered - I hope this could be an occasion to handle that as well.

Unfortunately I will not be in Brussels again this side of the summer break, but would it not be an option to talk on the phone?

As this email address corresponds to a website which publishes results from access-to-documents requests, I would prefer if you would write to me directly instead. My email address is <[email address]>

Yours faithfully,

Kenneth Haar
