Dear Directorate-General for Communication,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents, e-mails, letters, memos (including all attachments), reports, evaluations, briefings and analysis of any kind which contain the following information:

1. How much of the annual €200m subsidy for the “promotion of agricultural products” has been used for meat-related marketing campaigns in 2019 and 2020? What is the breakdown in terms of member states?
2. How much of the annual €200m subsidy for the “promotion of agricultural products” has been used for pro-dairy-related marketing campaigns in 2019 and 2020? What is the breakdown in terms of member states?
3. A list of the names of each meat-and-pro-dairy-related marketing campaigns subsidised with EU funds in 2019 and 2020.

European Parliament, Council and Commission documents, your application

Dear Madam,
Thank you for your message. The information on Union co-financed promotion programmes (both simple and multi) is available online. Your request is therefore treated as information request.
The Union co-financed promotion programmes (both simple and multi) selected in 2019 are accessible at https://ec.europa.eu/chafea/agri/en/fund...
The information contains inter alia the names of the beneficiaries, the MS where they are established, the product category of the promoted products and the maximum EU grant.
The site also provide these information for the programmes selected under the two calls for simple programmes i.e. selected simple programmes for 2020 and selected simple programmes under 2020 additional call for proposals to restore market situation.

The site will be updated with the outcome of 2020 calls for multi programmes in January 2021 as soon as the award decisions are taken.
