Europol flights
Dear European Police Office,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1. All flights, associated costs, and destinations for Europol's Executive Director Catherine DE BOLLE since the start of her mandate.
2. Flight and associated costs of Catherine DE BOLLE to attend JHA on 4 March 2020 in Brussels.

Thank you for your interest in our organisation. After an internal examination, we identify no document containing the information related to your request below. Please note that this does not mean that you have been refused public access, but rather that the document you seek, containing the specific information you mentioned, is not present.
However, in the interest of transparency, Europol has managed to extract from its administrative missions software the following information:
- Overall missions of the Executive Director of Europol, involving flights, for the requested period: 82, of which 71 missions are within the European Union and 11 are outside the European Union.
- The average cost per mission was: 1169 EUR.
- The mission to the JHA Council on 4 March 2020 did not involve air travel, and the costs for this mission of the Executive Director were 135,50 Euro (train & car).

In accordance with the Management Board Rules on Public Access to Europol Documents, the deadline to respond to a request to public access to Europol documents requests is calculated on the basis of working days, excluding public holidays. Europol responded to your public access request on 25th January, which was the deadline for Europol to respond.
