Dear Ms AN,

Further to your email dated 22 April 2015, taking into account the very broad and general nature of your request, it may be helpful if I outline further the role of Eurojust.

Eurojust was set up by the Council of the European Union in February 2002. Its mission is to improve the fight against serious cross-border crime by assisting competent national investigation and prosecution authorities in specific cases involving two or more Member States falling within one of the crime areas for which Eurojust is competent. As such, given that Eurojust’s mandate covers support to national authorities in the individual cases in which Eurojust’s assistance is requested, Eurojust does not maintain a complete overview of extradition and surrender procedures across the EU.

In light of this clarification, we kindly ask you to further specify your request in order for Eurojust to be able to identify the documents requested.

Kind regards,

Catherine Deboyser
