Dear Mr Nielsen,

The deadline for replying to your application concerning public access to
documents under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 registered on 23/10/2020
expires today, on 16/11/2020.

However, due to the fact that the internal consultation process for
identifying the relevant documents is taking longer than expected, in
order to reply to your application Parliament exceptionally needs to
extend the time-limit provided for in Article 7(1) of Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001 by a further 15 working days, in accordance with Article 7(3) of
the same regulation.

Dear Mr Nielsen,

Further to your application submitted under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001
requesting public access to documents concerning the former EFDD political
group in relation to the contract the former group awarded in 2019
entitled "meetings with firearms", Parliament would like to draw your
attention to the fact that the procurement of services by political groups
is managed by the groups themselves and that the services that were
provided do not need to be handed over to Parliament administration. In
principle, the documents stemming from these procurement procedures would
be held by the secretariat of the political groups itself, not by
Parliament administration.

However, in the present case, it is relevant to note that the political
group Europe of Freedom and Direct Democracy does not exist anymore and
therefore the documents hold by its secretariat have been transmitted to
Parliament administration. After internal consultation, Parliament has
been able to identify two documents falling within the scope of your
application which are attached herewith. Therefore, Parliament hereby
grants public access to such documents.

On this basis, Parliament considers your application as handled and the
file closed. Should you have any new requests for specific Parliament
documents, please do not hesitate to come back to us.
