Dear [email address],
Thank you for your reply. I regret learning of your negative response. Allow me to appeal.
The reasons for asking for this information is specifically due to public interest, as I am part of the news organisation, POLITICO.
The reasons why I am seeking information on OLAF investigations involving Patrick Fachin and Pascal Paridans is related to misuse of EU funds and corruption within an EU institution — specifically the Parliament — funded by EU taxpayer money.
Therefore, it is the express right of the public to know about any corrupt activities by the aforementioned individuals and OLAF investigations relating to them.
I ask you to reconsider your denial on the grounds of the GDPR, given that journalism is a public good and reporters should be allowed to do their legitimate jobs of exposing corruption.
Yours sincerely,
Christina GENNET
