Guidelines on lobby meetings during pandemic

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- Internal guidance for high level officials (i.e. European Commissioners, cabinet members and Directors-General) and EU staff on how to handle interactions with interest representatives while observing social distance practices put in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I am particularly interested in any internal guidance of what channels to use, what constitutes a meeting, best practice advise, document archiving and lobby transparency.

- Guidance or any other documents stating that telephone calls are excluded from lobby transparency requirements.

Dear Ms da Silva,

We refer to your email of 22/05/2020 in which you submit a request for
access to documents, registered on 25/05/2020 under the reference number
Gestdem 2020/3127.

Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 16/06/2020.

An extended time limit is needed, as we have not yet been able to gather
all the elements necessary to carry out a full analysis of your request
and to take a final decision.

Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days in
accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 07/07/2020.

We apologise for this delay and for any inconvenience this may cause.
