Guidelines on record creation in the European Commission
Dear Secretariat General,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
- Any form of guidance, guidelines or legal provisions on the criteria for record creation within the European Commission. I am particularly interested in documents that refer to the creation of:
· Agendas (diaries of public officials´ engagements), lists of meetings, minutes of meetings, lists of participants in meetings, and documents justifying decisions.
I wonder if, consistent with Article 6 of Regulation 1049/20011, you could kindly provide me with some assistance in the formulation of this request.
I would like to clarify that I am requesting any form of guidance, guidelines or legal provisions with regards to the creation of records. I am not interested in the general management of the records.
This is an example of the type of documents I am searching for (with regards to the minutes of meetings): In response to a similar request to DG CNECT, they included a file that explained which meetings should be recorded, by whom and how. Accessible via https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/memo... under the name SOP meeting report DOC 43032.pdf.
Therefore, I would like to know whether such guidelines/guidance/ legal provisions specifying what meeting should be recorded and how that recording should take place exist on SG level as well (please note that my request is not limited to minutes of meetings, I would also like to obtain this documents related to the creation of agendas, lists of meetings, lists of participants in meetings, and documents justifying decisions, as mentioned above).
Should you have any questions about this request, please feel free to write me at anytime.
I am looking forward to your response.
Yours faithfully,
Wiesje van Nunen
