Dear Mr Syme,

You requested the following under Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 on public
access to documents:

"A list of the reference numbers and names of all new phase I and phase II
investigations started since 1.1.2013 up until the date of this request."

We understand that you refer to phase I and phase II merger investigations
under the EU Merger Regulation (Council Regulation (EC) No 139/2004).

website (including the case number, case name and – if available – press
releases and public versions of decisions). You can retrieve the
information you are seeking by using our search tool available under the
following link:

For all phase I investigations started since 1 January 2013, please use
the search criterion "notification date" and select the relevant period.

For all phase II investigations started since that date, please use the
search criteria "decision type" - select "(Council Regulation 139/2004)
Article 6(1)(c)" – and "decision date" – select the relevant period.

With kind regards,

The Phase II information is helpful, but the information is incomplete.

The Phase I information requested was the reference number and names of state aid investigations opened which are not categorised as Phase II investigations. The notification list is different to that. Therefore I respectfully ask for the information I originally requested on Phase I investigations.
