Dear European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders (FRONTEX),

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

-All the details concerning operation Hermes 2013, in particular:
-the duration of such operation (when it started, when it finished);
-what the final annual cost of 9 million Euros is made up of: specific cost for each different task (e.g. risk analysis, research, humanitarian help)

-All the details/documents containing details of operation Hermes 2012 and 2011, in particular:
-the duration of each operation;
-the final cost of each operation, and the specific cost, within each operation, for different tasks (e.g. risk analysis, research, humanitarian help);

-If any, details on operations (amount of money and resources allocated) planned for the area of Lampedusa in 2014.

Dear Gianluca

 

Joint Operation EPN Hermes 2011 was  launched on 20.02.2011  and ended on
31.03.2012. It was extended twice, once in August and again in December.

The cost of the operation was over 14 mln Euros.

 

Joint Operation EPN Hermes 2012 was launched on 02.07.2012  and ended on
31.02.2013. It  was extended twice, once in October and again in December.

The cost of the operation was 4 mln Euros.
