Dear Communication,

For research purposes, I would like to restate my request for documents that relate to the establishment (and now apparent withdrawal) of the website/portal "Let's Talk Trade". Note: this website is currently no longer running, with a domain name no longer owned by the Commission, and seems to contain explicit images by an external owner. This may be harmful for citizens that potentially click on the website link, which is still possible through search engines like Google.

Both the establishment and the apparent withdrawal of this portal is the focus of my attention. However, I am not in the position to be able to perfectly locate which documents I would like to request. I can only observe that a website/portal with the name "Let's Talk Trade" has been established in the period 2016-2017. This is referred to, for example, in the Communication by the Commission to the Council, European Parliament and EESC on 13 September 2017: http://trade.ec.europa.eu/doclib/docs/20...

On page 12 it is argued: "The Commission also publishes fact sheets, statistics and a wealth of other information online and via social media to encourage a well-informed, fact-based policy debate – including the dedicated portals “Let’s Talk Trade” or interactive maps of companies across the EU that export to our trading partners (“CETA in Your Town”)."

As an external observer, I therefore presume that or DG Trade, or DG Communication, or both, have been involved in the process of identifying the need for such a portal, the decision to establish it in the way it was, the decisions and thought-process of what to include on such a portal, and the apparent decision to withdraw it from the internet.

In sum, the documents I am requesting have a clear starting topic ("Let's talk trade"), a probable institutional location (DG Trade and DG Communication) and a time period (2016-2019).

I therefore hope that - as a citizen - I have no more means nor information to identify the location of these documents, and rely on the help of this service to exercise my rights for information.

Yours faithfully,

Niels Gheyle
