Dear DG Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union,
in her June 28th 2022 keynote speech at the forum on protecting and facilitating investment in the single market, Commissioner McGuinness stated that the Commission wants to “support the enforcement of EU rules” to ensure “effective protection of investments” and announced the “toolbox for investment protection and facilitation”.
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
1) minutes and other notes from lobby meetings (including online meetings) held by DG FISMA since July 1st 2022, in which the above-mentioned 'toolbox' - and investment protection more generally - has been discussed;
2) all correspondence between DG FISMA and lobby groups, in which the above-mentioned 'toolbox' - and investment protection more generally - has been discussed (since July 1st 2022);
on behalf of Corporate Europe Observatory (CEO)
