Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting access to any documents containing the words or giving information about:
- Left-wing Protest and/or camps/gatherings and/or Extremism and/or Terrorism
- No Border/Migration-related Protest and/or camps/gatherings and/or Extremism and/or Terrorism
- Animal Rights Protest and/or camps/gatherings and/or Extremism and/or Terrorism
- Environmental Protest and/or camps/gatherings and/or Extremism and/or Terrorism
- Anarchism
- Ideological Crime

Dear Mr Pieters,

We have received your request for access to documents under Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May
2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and
Commission documents. This regulation, though, is concerned with documents
held by an institution (see article 2 (3) of the regulation). In
accordance with article 5 of regulation 1049/2001, a Member States which
receives a request for a document originating from an institution, may
refer the request to the said institution. Because of the broad and
general nature of your request we have however not been able to identify
the institution concerned.

With reference to your email of 24 October, as you might know, the Joint Situation Centre (JSC or SitCen) is a body of the European Union, part of the European External Action Service (EEAS) and it falls under the authority of the EU's High Representative. Requests for access to documents held by the EEAS can be sent in writing, in one of the official languages of the EU, to the Corporate Board Secretariat of the EEAS.
