Dear European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at the External Borders,

I am still awaiting a response on my FOI request. Can you please contact me asap, in case you require further details about my request.

Yours faithfully,

Thiemo

Paulina Bakula, Agencia Europea para la gestión de la cooperación operativa en las fronteras exteriores

Dear Thiemo,

Thank you for contacting Frontex and apologies for the late reply.

Your request is not a PAD request but request for information, as the data
you ask for is not included in an existing document but needs to be
extracted from several sources.

Therefore we will answer you in the shortest possible time.

Kind regards,

Paulina Bakula

Dear Paulina Bakula,

Thank you for your reply. The data is still incomplete, hence I have not marked the FOI request as answered.

The data is not broken down to the level of detail requested.

(1) You provide the different routes, but I have asked for the "country of detection". Hence, instead of providing statistics by the various routes, I want to know the detections by the detection point - either a city, district or country.

For example for the "Eastern Mediterranean Route" I want to know the detections by the countries that comprise the Eastern Mediterranean route by Frontex definition: i.e. Greece, Southern Bulgaria and Cyprus. And similarly for all other routes.

(2) The data does not provide details beyond the top 3 countries of origin. I have asked for data pertaining to all origin countries and not only the top 3.

Please do not hesitate to get back in case you have further queries.

Yours sincerely,

Thiemo

Dear Thiemo,

Thank you for your email.

Again I would like to underline that this is not an access to documents request, but access to information request and in this case the obligation to reply within 15 working days does not apply.

I have forwarded your questions to the relevant department.
