Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following letters with annexes:

-a letter dated 16 May 2002 from Mr IMBENI, Vice-President, to Mr COX, President, forwarding the opinion of the 'Working Party on Disputes as to Powers and Responsibilities" on the Dispute as to the powers and responsibilities assigned to the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Committee on the Environment concerning the proposal for a directive on environmental liability with regard to the prevention and remedying of environmental damage (PE 318.273/BUR./REP3) with annexes;

- a letter dated 16 May 2002 from Mr GARGANI, Chairman of the Committee on Legal Affairs and the Internal Market, to Mr COX, President, on the same dispute (PE 318.323/BUR.);

- a letter dated 10 June 2002 from Mrs FRASSONI, Co-Chairman of the Greens/EFA Group, to Mr COX, President, on the same matter (PE 318.396/BUR.).
