Dear Mr Blanco,

Thank you for your email and your interest in Frontex activities.

We would like to inform you that pursuant to Article 2(1) of Regulation
(EC) No 1049/2001 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 30 May
2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council and

citizen of the Union, and any natural or legal person residing or having
its registered office in a Member State.

To confirm thus that you are invested in the right of access to the
documents requested, an ID card/passport/residence permit in
EU/registration in an EU Member State (legal persons) is needed. You may
however refuse to provide the above mentioned document containing personal
data; in that case, your request is not going to be processed.

After receiving the above mentioned documents, we will be able to start
processing your request and will get back to you within 15 working days.

Please be informed of the following:

document(s) is granted or refused.  In Frontex, this procedure takes no
longer than 15 or 30 working days depending on the number/size of the
requested documents. During the processing of your data, you have a right
to access your data and rectify them if needed. You have a right to have
recourse to the European Data Protection Supervisor.

Dear PAD,

Thanks so much for the data and your help.

Also, one question more, is it possible to receive the return operations
by boat for the same period or since 2010? Or should I present a new FOIA?

I wait for your answer.

Best,

Subject: Freedom of Information request - Overview of the Joint Return
Operations (JROs) coordinated by Frontex

Dear European Agency for the Management of Operational Cooperation at
the External Borders,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed
in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the
following information:

- Data of the Joint Return Operations (JROs) coordinated by Frontex

I would like the detail of:

-The date of departure of the flight

-The organising country or countries

-The departure ariport

-The destination country/airport of the flight -The nationality of the
people that have been involved in the JROs -Monitors/Observes -The Total
no. of returnees -The cost of each JRO -The airline company which has
provided the flight

I ask this information for 2006-2016 period. I assume that 2016 will be
incomplete, but I would like to have access to all registers you have
collected of the present year.

If any of the details listred above is not available, I ask for the rest
of the data as complete as possible.

Finally, I would like to receive the information in electronic form and,
if possible, in .csv, .xls or any other reusable format.

Yours faithfully,

Adrián Blanco
