Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, and based on the documents received under the request Ref GestDem N° 2015/3658, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

- a list of participants in the meeting of the EU Internet Forum on 24 July
- the minutes of the meeting on 24 July
- a list of upcoming meetings of the Forum
- the minutes of the "preparatory meetings organised in 2014" as mentioned by the European Agenda on Security (COM(2015) 185 final ) as well as the participants list.

reference number.
 
Your application is currently being handled. However, we will not be in a
position to complete the handling of your application within the time
limit of 15 working days, which expires on 24/08/2015. An extended time
limit is needed as your application requires consultation with different
services. Therefore, we have to extend the time limit with 15 working days
in accordance with Article 7(3) of Regulation (EC) n°1049/2001 regarding
public access to documents. The new time limit expires on 14/09/2015.

Dear DG Migration and Home Affairs,

Thank you very much for letting me know about the extended time-limit (14/9) and for communicating the fact that you have been finalising the response since that date.

However, I could not find anything in Regulation 1049/2001 that would allow such an additional extension. Therefore, could you please explain how the inability to respond within the extended period is in line with Regulation 1049/2001 and also give me detailed reasons for the extension of the time-limit (Article 7.3)?
