Dear Competition,
I am writing to make a request for access to documents under the provisions of Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 regarding public access to European Parliament, Council, and Commission documents.
I hereby request access to a number of documents related to Competition decisions on state aid granted to ArcelorMittal. My request specifically concerns the public version documents of the European Commission's decisions to grant state aid related to the following projects within the framework of the EU Hydrogen Strategy, which aren't yet available on the Competition Case Search website:
- SA.104904 (Spain). Announced on 17/02/2023.
- SA.104903 (France). Announced on 20/07/2023.
- SA.104897 (Belgium). Announced on 22/06/2023.
I would prefer to receive the documents in electronic format. Should physical copies be the only option available, please inform me in advance of any potential charges that may apply.

Commission decisions in the above-mentioned cases i.e.
• SA.104904, concerning ArcelorMittal in Spain adopted on 17 February
2023;
• SA.104897, concerning ArcelorMittal in Belgium, adopted on 22 June
2023; and
• SA.104903, concerning ArcelorMittal in France, adopted on 20 July
2023.
As DG Competition and the Member States involved are in the process of
establishing a public version of the decision that does not contain any
business secrets or other confidential information, no public version of
these texts is currently available. DG Competition is in the final stages
of settling this issue with a view to a quick publication.
In this regard, we would like to invite you to check the present section
of DG Competition's website regularly in order to remain aware of any
further developments. The Commission will make a non-confidential version
of the Decision available in the [1]State aid register on the Commission's
[2]competition website in the near future.
