Dear European Police College,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

The rental contract(s) of the building(s) the agency occupies

Peter Teffer

PS: I have noticed that European institutions sometimes send both a digital and a paper version by registered mail of FOI responses. Please only send paper versions of your communication if you do not intend to send a digital copy. The physical mail always reaches me later than e-mail, so paper versions are environmentally wasteful and somewhat inefficient.

Dear European Police College,

Please pass this on to the person who reviews confirmatory applications.

I am filing the following confirmatory application with regards to my access to documents request 'Rental contract'.

I have requested on 8 May 2017, under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, access to documents which contain the following information:

The rental contract(s) of the building(s) the agency occupies

The legal deadline to respond has long expired, but I have not even received an acknowledgement of receipt of my request.

A full history of my request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.asktheeu.org/en/request/rent...

I'm looking forward to receiving your response without delay.

Dear Mr. Teffer,

We hereby acknowledge receipt of your message of 26 June 2017. First and foremost, allow us to assure you that CEPOL makes every possible effort to be responsive vis-à-vis its stakeholders and to comply with all its legal obligations. In this respect, we deeply regret the fact that your message of 8 May 2017 was not processed on time. Although your message was flagged up in our functional mailbox for subsequent follow-up, it was later overlooked due to staff changeovers that resulted in a change in the ownership of the CEPOL functional mailbox. Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.

As far as your request is concerned, please be informed that according to the Headquarters Agreement between the Agency and the State of Hungary (available here: https://www.cepol.europa.eu/media/news/c... ), Article 3(1) of the Headquarters Agreement mentions that, “…Hungary puts at the disposal of the Agency the building situated at 27 Ó utca, Budapest, for a period of at least ten (10) years free of any charges, including the cost of utilities…”. Please note that following the entry into application of our new Regulation (EU) 2015/2219, CEPOL’s official name is the "European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training”.

We remain at your disposal for any further clarification you may need.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Liza Kordatou
