Dear European Securities and Markets Authority,
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:
The rental contract(s) of the building(s) the authority occupies
Rue Montoyer 18B
PS: I have noticed that European institutions sometimes send both a digital and a paper version by registered mail of FOI responses. Please only send paper versions of your communication if you do not intend to send a digital copy. The physical mail always reaches me later than e-mail, so paper versions are environmentally wasteful and somewhat inefficient.
Dear Sir, Madam,
Thank you for contacting the European Securities and Markets Authority
We will look into your request and will respond to you as soon as
Please note that this inbox only handles general enquiries. If you are
contacting us to make a complaint, you should first refer to the
complaints section of the ESMA website.
There you will find information on how ESMA can help and who you should
contact to make your complaint.
Please note that ESMA is closed on Tuesday 9 May for a public holiday and
will reopen on Wednesday 10 May when we will deal with your query.
Dear Mr Teffer,
On behalf of ESMA document access coordinator, we would like to refer you to the request for access to documents submitted to ESMA on 8 May 2017 pursuant to Regulation (EC) No 1049/2001 in which you asked for access to "documents which contain the following information: The rental contract(s) of the building(s) the authority occupies.".
We are pleased to meet your request by referring you to the Draft general budget of the European Commission for the financial year 2017: http://ec.europa.eu/budget/library/bibli.... This document contains information concerning the name, location and type of building that ESMA occupies, the annual rent, and other details of the rental contract.
With kind regards
Dear Madam, Sir,
Many thanks for your reply and your referral to the Draft general budget of the European Commission for the financial year 2017.
However, that document does not contain a specific element of information I am interested in: the clause in the rental contract(s) that governs termination of the contract(s).
Can you please send the contract(s) or at least the page(s) of the contract that deals with how and when the contract(s) can be terminated?
All the best,
