Dear European Union Satellite Centre,

Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am requesting documents which contain the following information:

The rental contract(s) of the building(s) the agency occupies

Sincerely,

Peter Teffer

PS: I have noticed that European institutions sometimes send both a digital and a paper version by registered mail of FOI responses. Please only send paper versions of your communication if you do not intend to send a digital copy. The physical mail always reaches me later than e-mail, so paper versions are environmentally wasteful and somewhat inefficient.

Info, Centro de Satélites de la Unión Europea

Dear Mr. Peter Teffer,

The EU Satellite Centre has no rental contract.
By an agreement between the Kingdom of Spain and the former Western European Union (WEU), dated 1 December 1992, the government of Spain granted a concession of a site situated on the Torrejón Airbase (Madrid) and a building Located thereon to be used as the seat of the former Western European Union (WEU) Satellite Centre.
The Kingdom of Spain and the EU Satellite Centre have automatically endorsed this agreement, in January 2002, when the Satellite Centre became part of the European Union.

Best regards,

SatCen
