Request for Access to Declarations of Financial Interests
Dear Transparency Unit of the European Parliament,
I am writing to request access to the declarations of financial interests for MEPs Abir Al-Sahlani, Arba KOKALARI, Tomas TOBÉ and Alice Kuhnke.
Under the right of access to documents in the EU treaties, as developed in Regulation 1049/2001, I am seeking details specifically related to any stock holdings they have declared. This request is made with the intent to understand potential financial interests that may inform the legislative work and decision-making of our elected representatives.
I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your prompt response.
Yours faithfully,
Olof Winqvist

Dear Mr Winqvist,
Concerning your request for public access to the declarations of financial
interests for four MEPs, Parliament informs you that, following a change
in the Code of Conduct for Members of the European Parliament regarding
integrity and transparency, “declarations of financial interests” are now
called “declarations of private interests” and they are regulated by
[1]Article 4 of the Code of Conduct.
Please note that such declarations are already publicly available on
Members’ websites. From there by clicking on a particular member, you can
access their declaration of private interests on the right side of the
page under Home -> Declarations. For Ms Abir Al-Sahlani, for example, you
may find [2]here her declaration of private interests (after the change of
the Code of Conduct) and [3]here her declaration of financial interests
submitted in the beginning of the term. According to those declarations,
none of the four MEPs in request has declared any stock holdings.
On this basis, Parliament considers your application handled and the
procedure closed. Should you wish to submit any new requests for specific
Parliament documents, [4]please do not hesitate to come back to us.
Best regards,
