Dear Health and Food Safety,
In your email of 16 May 2023, you noted that you needed to extend the time limit to handle my request EASE 2023/2375 by 15 additional working days, and that the new time limit expires on 12 June 2023.
It is now 20 June - ie the extended time limit expired more than one week ago - and I have not yet received your reply to my request. I'd therefore like to politely request that you send me the documents that my request pertains to with all possible haste, as I should, by law, have already received them.
If for any reason you are unable to send me these documents, I would kindly ask for an explanation of under what legal provision this delay beyond the 15+15 working days is justified.
Yours faithfully,
Elaine Girvan
Dear Ms Girvan,
Thank you for your email regarding your request for access to documents.
We acknowledge that the time limit expired on 9 June 2023 and apologize
for the delay.
The assessment/consultation of the documents falling within the scope of
your request required more time due to the fact that the application
concerns documents held by different Services which must be consulted.
We would like to inform you that your request is being handled.
Please be reassured that we are doing our utmost to provide you with the
reply as soon as possible.
Thank you very much for your understanding.
Best regards,

As another 2.5 weeks have passed since then, I would like to once again urge you to send the reply to my resquest with all possible haste, since it is now more than one month past the maximum legal time limit for handling an access to documents request. If you are still unable to do so, please can you give me an update on when I can expect your response.
