-EU policy on secessionist movements (such as Scotland, Catalonia, Crimea, and, most recently, Venice) within Europe;
-The total amount of money given by the EU to support regional cultural identities (e.g. by preserving language – traditions), and the amount of money divided by region
-Any kind of support or resources given to such regions;
-Any support or resources given by the EU to any type of organisation linked with a secessionist movements within Europe.

Dear Mr. Avagnina,

We refer to your e-mail dated 30/04/2014 in which you make a request for
access to documents, registered on 01/04/2014 under the above mentioned
reference number.

Please find below a response and the documents relating to the questions
you posed, for the period of 2011-13 as confirmed by your email of
02/04/2014:

1.       EU policy on secessionist movements within Europe;

The documents set out the Commission's line on the issue of the separation
of one part of a Member State or the creation of a new state.

 

2.       The total amount of money given by the EU to support regional
cultural identities (e.g. by preserving language – traditions), and the
amount of money divided by region.

Through the Lifelong Learning Programme, a few multilateral projects and
networks managed to secure some funding for projects promoting regional
and minority languages.

 

Two documents are attached which provide information on global figures for
support of language projects. Funding is not given to projects concerning
only one region, but to projects promoting the cooperation between
partners and regions that are active in the field of promoting regional
and minority languages. More details about projects selected for funding
are available on the web site of the Executive Agency, in the Project
Compendia under KA2 languages that were published yearly:

3.       Any kind of support or resources given to such regions (such as
Scotland, Catalonia and Venice)

Information regarding all regional funding is available in the public
domain.  A link to the Commission search page for operation programmes

For example, a search carried out for programmes in Spain and for the
