Dear Mr Nielsen,

Further to your application submitted under [1]Regulation (EC) No
1049/2001 requesting public access to the breakdown of costs linked to the
building maintenance, upkeep, operation, cleaning and energy consumption
of the Wiertz building as well as the estimated value of the land at the
property for the years 2019 and 2020, Parliament has identified the
attached document with the breakdown of the costs.

Concerning the estimated value of the land at the property, the Wiertz
building was rented under "usufruit" contract in years 2019 and 2020 and
hence the estimated value does not appear in the balance sheet of the
annual accounts of the European Parliament for the financial years 2019
and 2020, since the European Parliament was not the owner of the building
on those years. The building was bought only in 2021. Therefore there is
no Parliament document where this information can be found for years 2019
and 2020.

On this basis, Parliament considers your application as handled and the
file closed. Should you have any new requests for specific Parliament
documents, [2]please do not hesitate to come back to us.

Kind regards,
