Re: CBAM - Follow-up meeting CEMBUREAU

Many thanks for your message. We have from our side very much appreciated the openness on the part of
the Director General and the services in exchanging views on CBAM and we will be happy to continue that
discussion after adoption of the legislative proposal.

I checked available slots with
 and we can suggest
•
22 or 23 July, both dates from 9 am to 11 am;
•
The week of 23rd August is open for us.
If you do wish to organize a call in the week of 25th July, this is possible but I will be on holiday and would
prefer early morning or evening.

Best regards,

Subject: CBAM - Follow-up meeting CEMBUREAU

I am contacting you on behalf of Director-General Gerassimos Thomas. Some minutes ago, I also wrote to

As you know, the Commission will table tomorrow a proposal for a CBAM. In the preparation of the proposal, we
have been in continuous exchange with Cembureau. We found this exchange very fruitful and would like to continue
this also after the proposal is adopted by the College.
With this in mind, we would propose a meeting in the coming days/weeks - or after the summer break, if that suits
you better – to present and discuss the details of this proposal.
Looking forward to your feedback.
Best regards
