Security services representatives provided facts and figures regarding their industry, where European 
firms are the 3 top global players (Securitas [SE], G4S [UK], Proseguras [ES]), operating worldwide, 
including in North America. Core business: guarding and custom transit services, protection of critical 
infrastructure, etc. Industry rapidly evolving, with increasing integration with intelligence services. On 
the other hand, the US is strong in consultancy services related to security (risk analysis, security plans).

On the defensive side, were reassured by COM that there was no intention to alter the regulatory 
framework through TTIP (licenses, authorisations, etc).

COM informed about the main features of services negotiations and invited to provide additional 
information on relevant barriers in the US (including level: federal/state). Security services 
representatives will endeavour to provide ahead of the October Round.
