Invitation to International Sessions of the European Youth Parliament
Berlin, 25th of April 2016
Dear Mr. Hogan,
During the last year, the European Youth Parliament (EYP) successfully held three International Sessions in
Tampere (FI), Leipzig (DE) and a joint session in Dublin (IE) and Belfast (UK). During these three flagship events
of our organisation, almost 1000 young participants worked on a wide range of topics, addressing the most
current European issues. You can download the final booklets with resolutions made by the young partici-
pa
nts here: Tampere, Leipzig and Dublin&Belfast.
As you might know, EYP is a non-partisan and independent educational project tailored specifically to the
needs of young Europeans. Each year, the EYP reaches out to over 34.000 young people from 40 European to
engage them in intercultural dialogue, parliamentary debate and discussion of current European topics. The
EYP is thus one of the largest European platforms for political educational work and the exchange of ideas
among young people in Europe
Among our 500 events and activities all over Europe every year, our three annual International Sessions are
our flagship events. I would like to invite you to address our participants at one of the next International Ses-
sions of the EYP in 2016:
This summer, the 82nd International Session of the EYP will meet in Rennes, France between the 15th and 24th
of July 2016 under the central theme "Diversity to reinvent ourselves". There would be opportunities for you
to address to the participants at the Opening Ceremony on the evening of the 18th and at the General Assem-
bly on the morning of the 21st of July 2016 in Rennes, France.
In autumn, the 83rd International Session of the EYP wil take place in Laax, Switzerland, from 7th to 16th Oc-
tober 2016, under the overall theme of “Young and innovative ideas for a sustainable future”. There will be
opportunities for you to address the participants at the Opening Ceremony on the 10th of October and at the
General Assembly on 14th of October 2016 in Laax, Switzerland.
