RE: Current draft of the Voluntary Committments

Dear All,

As you can see from the draft sent yesterday, it is a commitment with an overall objective (100% /
2040), which is based on a large variety of commitments – both general as well as sector specific – which
all are necessary to achieve the commitment. Therefore I do not see the benefit to have this artificial
split of the document.

Looking forward to see you.

Best regards

PlasticsEurope is one of the leading European trade associations with centres in Brussels, Frankfurt, London, Madrid, Milan and
Paris. We are networking with European and national plastics associations and have more than 100 member companies, producing
over 90% of all polymers across the EU28 member states plus Norway, Switzerland and Turkey. The European plastics industry
makes a significant contribution to the welfare in Europe by enabling innovation, creating quality of life to citizens and facilitating
resource efficiency and climate protection. More than 1.5 million people are working in approximately 60,000 companies (mainly
small and medium sized companies in the converting sector) to create a turnover above 340 bn EUR per year. The plastics industry
includes polymer producers - represented by PlasticsEurope, converters - represented by EuPC - and machine manufacturers -
represented by EUROMAP. For further info see the web

Dear

Many thanks for your invitation which we kindly accept.

Nevertheless as the 3 potential signatories relate only to section 1 of this document I propose to
organise a second meeting as well  in December involving then all the European Circular
Polymer Value Chains as well.

This will allow the EU Commission to have the full picture in detail of all of the suggested
commitments.

Please be so kind to suggest some dates.

Best regards

Dear friends of the sustainable Plastics value chain,
Many thanks for this first draft that we would be very happy to discuss with the 3 future
signatory organisations.
Please give some signals when it will reach a more mature stage for its substantial discussion.
The sooner we, all, will be able to meet and discuss, the better!
With kind regards.
