Results of the evaluation of Proposal 3.4-0019-ATIT-S-M-17 in
response to the 2017 CEF Energy call for proposals

Dear

The evaluation of the proposals submitted in response to the call for proposals referred to
above  has  been  completed.  The  services  of  the  European  Commission  have  drawn  up  a
draft list of proposals recommended for funding.

I  regret  to  inform  you  that  your  proposal  is  not  included  in  this  list  for  the  following
reasons:

The proposed Action contributes to the implementation of the project of common interest
"The  Somplago  -  Wurmlach  interconnection"  while  the  main  objective  of  the  proposed
Action  is  to  prepare  a  application  for  regulatory  exemption  of  the  interconnector.  The
maturity  is  very  well  evidenced,  the  Action's  cross  border  dimension  is  excellent.  The
priority and urgency of the Action are well demonstrated.

On  25  January  2018,  the  "CEF  Coordination  Committee  –  Energy"  gave  its  positive
opinion on this list.

Please note that the final decision on the selection of the proposals, which will be awarded
a  grant  under  this  call  for  proposals,  will  be  adopted  by  the  Commission  in  the  coming
days. We will inform you when the Commission adopts its selection decision. In case you
would consider to lodge a complaint to the European Ombudsman or lodge an appeal to
the  General  Court  it  can  be  done  against  the  final  decision  once  adopted  by  the
Commission.

If  you  wish  to  request  further  clarifications  related  to  the  procedural  aspects  of  the
evaluation conducted by INEA only (and not the merits of your proposal), you can do so
in  writing  to  the  following  e-mail  address:  xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx@xx.xxxxxx.xx.  This  can
be done either at this stage or after you have received our letter with the full information
on the final decision by the Commission.

I  thank  you  for  your  interest  in  the  opportunities  offered  by  the  Connecting  Europe
Facility.
Yours sincerely,
Marc VANDERHAEGEN
