Mission Background and Scope
Europol is in the process of creating a cybercrime capacity. For this reason they asked us to provide the
EMM OSINT Suite toolkit for use at Europol and to give an introductory course on how to use it. The
EMM OSINT Suite is a toolkit based on our research in information extraction which we share with the
law enforcement community in Europe.
We visited the Europol head office in The Hague to meet with Europol staff of the new cyber-crime
centre to give a one day tutorial about the EMM OSINT Suite.
The one day tutorial introduces new users to the basic functions of the software as well as demonstrates
more advanced use cases, such as how to modify the data used by entity extraction engine to extract
information from texts.
