Dear Ms Malmström,
On 20 November, the Development and Peace Foundation (sef:) and CIDSE – The
International Alliance of Catholic Development Agencies – hosted this year’s sef: Policy
Lunch at the Representation of the State of North-Rhine-Westphalia to the EU.
Following the Geneva negotiations on a possible binding legal instrument for business and
human rights, it asked
“Is the window of opportunity still open? State of the negotiations
on a UN Treaty on Business and Human Rights”. Art.4.1(b)
from CIDSE, Art.4.1(b)
from the EU External Action Service and Lola Sánchez Caldentey MEP provided an
overview of the different positions presented in Geneva.
Attached you will find a
short conference report with the summary of the main discussions.
We’ll be looking forward to welcoming you (again) to one of our future events.
Best regards,
