As you have probably heard, the French government have gone forward with a suspension of E 171 from
1 January 2020. The legal act was published yesterday.
To keep you up to date, TDMA have made a number of efforts to address the concerns raised by the
French Government and sent a number of letters and responded to the ANSES call for data on
nanomaterials in food. An example of the letters and our response is attached as well as a copy of a
statement that we have prepared on the subject.
Can you advise whether the French Government have yet informed the European Commission?
