Dear
On behalf of Ms Nelen, thank you very much for inviting her as speaker to the FEFCO Business
Summit in Amsterdam on 28-29 May 2020.
Regrettably, due to already confirmed commitments on those dates, Ms Nelen will not be able to
accept your kind invitation.
Thank you understanding and best wishes with the organisation of the summit.
With kind regards,
Ms Sarah NELEN, Deputy Head of Cabinet

Dear Sarah,
Hope you are doing well and had a chance to consider our invitation (see below).
Would you be available to come as a speaker to the FEFCO Business Summit in Amsterdam
on 28-29 May?
The new Green Deal and the Circular Economy are hugely important for our sector. The
corrugated cardboard packaging is circular due to the high level of recycling and the use of
secondary raw materials for new packaging.
Sustainability is a key stimulus for our industry to improve further and contribute to the overall
European ambition.
It will be great if you could come. In case you cannot, may be someone else from the Cabinet
team can step in.
Please let us know as soon as possible.
Thank you.
Best regards,

Dear Sarah,
It was a pleasure seeing you this morning at the meeting organised by the Paper industry
(CEPI).
Thanks again for the presentation and the patience to answer all our questions.
The organisation I work for, the European Federation of Corrugated Board
Manufacturers (FEFCO) is organising its next Business Summit in Amsterdam on 28 and
29 May 2020. http://www.fefco.org/
We would like to invite you as a speaker to our event to present the Green Deal and
the new Circular Economy Action Plan.
FEFCO event is a high level bi-annual conference that gathers the business leaders of the
European corrugated industry and its suppliers (mainly CEOs, marketing and sales). Our
industry represents about 400 companies in Europe employing directly about 90,000
people. Our members produce corrugated cardboard packaging, or you may know it
more as the brown box, which is used mainly as transport or secondary packaging for
different goods and in e-commerce.
This year program will focus a lot of the Green deal and how our industry could
contribute – it is the main topic for the second day (29/5). As a whole the programme
will cover strategically important issues for the industry, among them economic and
marketing trends in the packaging sector, the EU policy activities and the Circular
Economy. The Circular Economy has been a driver for the paper packaging industry since
many years and continues to lead us forward.
Can you please let me know if you would you be available to speak at our event, on 28 or
29 May 2020?
It will be great if you could come.
You are welcome to join the full programme, if your availability allows it.
Thank you in advance for considering our invitation.
