 EDF Group
Dear Mr Samson,
Making Europe the first CO2-neutral continent by 2050 will require significant amounts of green and
decarbonized electricity, the electrification of several sectors of the economy as well as the development of
clean gases such as hydrogen.
As a leader in low carbon electricity with 90% of our activities based in Europe and 500 million euros/year of
R&D to develop innovative solutions, EDF intends to put all of its efforts into the Green Deal in order to help
meet these objectives.
 EDF Group
, will be in Brussels on 26 February and would be available in the morning until 1pm to discuss
with you how EDF’s strategy can best contribute to the modernization of the energy sector and to the
decarbonisation of the European economy. I am conscious that this would fall on the day of the publication of
the Climate Law and we remain available to explore other dates.
I remain available to answer any question that your team may have with regard EDF and this meeting request.
Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
EDF European Affairs
